Why is the sky blue?

Sunlight looks white but it is secretly made of all the colors mixed together. When it hits the tiny bits of air, the blue light bounces around the most and gets scattered all over the sky.

So when you look up, blue light is coming at you from everywhere — and the sky looks blue!
